Self employed / Freelancer / Sole Trader
Tax return fees start at £60 + VAT per month
Limited company
In terms of your company accounts and tax return, our fees are bespoke so please get in touch so we can go through exactly what you need. All our company clients are charged on a monthly basis in advance of the year end, via direct debit.
We have a minimum fee of £100 + VAT per month for a limited company (unless dormant). This is our basic package which does not include Xero software, bookkeeping or VAT returns.
Landlord
We charge £95 + VAT for the tax return if you have one property and an additional £50 + VAT per additional rental property.
Bookkeeping & VAT
Bookkeeping and VAT is charged depending on the number of transactions through the bank and the number of purchase invoices/receipts per month.
So please have this information to hand when enquiring so we can give you an accurate quote.
Payroll
Payroll is charged depending on the number of employees, frequency of pay and whether it is fixed or variable.
Company Formation
We will register a Limited company with Companies House and provide you with advice around the best structure, the share certificates, Certificate of Incorporation and Memorandum of Association.
Xero
We recommend the standard pricing plan for most clients which is £30 plus VAT per month.
Xero training – 1 hour £195 + VAT
We also train our clients on how to use Xero. We can offer a bespoke 1-2-1 training session where we set up up Xero and Dext and show you how to use it, and then you will be confident in how to use the software for your business. This is held at our offices or via Zoom and lasts 1 hour.
Dext - £10 + VAT per month
This handy little tool which integrates beautifully with Xero, enables you to scan/photo/email any receipts or invoices directly to the cloud without manually entering the information. This is a huge time saver and efficiency booster and once you start using it, you’ll wonder how you lived without it.

No, there’s no minimum contract period when you sign up with our online accountancy firm. All you’ll need to do is pay our pre-arranged fixed monthly fee. You’re not obliged to be a Fosters customer for a minimum set period.

No. If you leave in the middle of the year and haven’t reached your company year-end, you’re not entitled to receive a refund for the months of service you have already paid for. As we charge a flat monthly fee, not a yearly fee, you can simply stop paying for our service at the end of the current month.

First off, you can join our accountancy company in the middle of the financial year, so don’t worry about waiting until the beginning of the following year. This means that our accountants will catch up with bookkeeping and accounts to get them up to date.
But, you would be charged for the months of catch-up that are required. However, as soon as you’re up to date, you’ll just need to pay a fixed monthly price for our service. We just ask that you have received our accounting service for one year or have made the equivalent of 12 monthly payments so that we can complete your year-end accounts and tax returns.

If you’re moving from your old accountancy firm to us, we can make the experience as simple as possible. What we’ll do is contact your existing accountant and request to send over your records. You don’t need to do any of the chasings. On the contrary, we’ll handle the process from start to finish, obtaining all the info we need to sign in to HMRC and manage your accounts on your behalf.

No. We use the best accounting software on behalf of our small business clients. We know that finding the time to get to grips with online accounting software isn’t feasible for most small business owners. For this reason, we only ask that you send us your receipts, bills and invoices every month. You can leave the rest to us.

The answer is yes! Fosters can plan for tax efficiency and offer tax efficiency reviews to help you save money throughout the tax year as part of our accounting service.
